Saints RB Alvin Kamara (knee) to miss second consecutive game

New Orleans Saints standout running back Alvin Kamara will miss his second straight game due to a knee injury.

The Saints formally ruled Kamara out of Sunday’s game against the Philadelphia Eagles on Friday.

Kamara was initially hurt during a loss to the Atlanta Falcons on Nov. 7. He was a limited practice participant on Wednesday before sitting out the following two days.

Saints coach Sean Payton declined to reveal whether Kamara sustained a setback when he met with reports on Friday.

The 26-year-old Kamara has 530 yards and three touchdowns on the ground and has 32 receptions for 310 yards and four scores through the air.

Mark Ingram II will be the main ball carrier for the Saints. He carried 14 times for 47 yards and one touchdown and caught four passes for 61 yards in last week’s loss to the Tennessee Titans.

New Orleans also ruled out offensive tackles Terron Armstead (knee, shoulder) and Ryan Ramczyk (knee) as well as receiver/running back Ty Montgomery (finger). Quarterback Taysom Hill (foot) is questionable.
